We are currently seeking a **Construction Planner** to join our team and support major projects for our clients in Edmonton.

YOUR MISSION:
Project Planning and Scheduling
- **Develop and Maintain Schedules**: Create and update detailed construction schedules, ensuring alignment with project milestones and client objectives.
- **Resource Allocation**: Identify and allocate resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment, to meet project requirements.
- **Critical Path Analysis**: Perform critical path and risk analysis to identify potential delays and develop mitigation strategies.

Coordination and Collaboration
- **Stakeholder Liaison**: Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and client representatives to align planning efforts with project goals.
- **Progress Reporting**: Monitor construction progress and provide regular updates through reports, dashboards, and presentations to internal teams and clients.
- **Change Management**: Evaluate schedule impacts of change orders and ensure adjustments are communicated and implemented effectively.

Compliance and Continuous Improvement
- **Standards and Best Practices**: Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations, particularly in the oil and gas sector.
- **Lessons Learned**: Participate in post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and improve planning processes for future projects.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

- **Experience**: Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction planning, within the oil and gas industry.
- **Software Proficiency**: Advanced skills in Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent scheduling software.
- **Standards Knowledge**: Strong understanding of construction planning standards and methodologies specific to oil and gas projects.
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with diverse stakeholders.
- **Detail-Oriented**: Proven ability to manage complex schedules and adapt to evolving project needs.
