**The Opportunity**

**The Farmhouse** is a brand new restaurant with Italian flair. We are looking for an energetic, eager, and ambitious **Juniior Cook** to join our group of world-class chefs. The Cook will be responsible for engaging with the culinary team to deliver the highest standard. You will be working to ensure that the vision is expressed through menu offerings and level of service expectations of your kitchen team.

**What You’ll Do**

**General Duties**
- Ensure the preparation station and the kitchen are set up and stocked.
- Prepare simple components of each dish on the menu by chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces.
- Report to the Head Chef and follow instructions accordingly.
- Ensure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards.
- Clean prep areas and take care of leftovers.
- Stock inventory and supplies.
- **Cold side/Prep experience**:

- Ensure compliance with the dress code established by management and with hygiene and food safety standards.
- Explain culinary techniques and the use of equipment to the cooks
- Ensure courteous and respectful service in a relaxed atmosphere.

**Kitchen Duties**
- Ensure the optimal use of foodstuffs.
- Ensures meal preparation and cooking.
- Ensure receipts and examination of goods.
- Assume responsibility for proper operation and safe use of kitchen equipment and appliances.
- Performs other related tasks.

**What You Have**
- 1-4 years of experience in the same or a similar role.
- Ability to maintain composure in a high-stress environment.
- Ability to provide good judgement.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, interpersonal flexibility, listening skills.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada to be considered.
