The City of Owen Sound is seeking energetic individuals to work as Tourism & Events Ambassadors.

Employee Group: Non-Union

Status: Student

Wage Rate: $16.55/hour

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week, will include daytime, evening, and weekend work as scheduled

Education Required:
High school student or enrolled in College or University program

Courses in Tourism, Hospitality, Marketing or Communications are an asset

Experience Required:
Experience in customer service/hospitality is an asset.

Additional Skills / Competencies Required:
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills;
Proficient verbal and written communication skills;
Cash handling and point of sale system skills;
Strong photography skills an asset;
Experience using social media as a marketing tool an asset;
Knowledgeable about Owen Sound and surrounding areas;
Ability to work independently with limited supervision;
Basic computer skills for data input and online updates;
Fluency in a second language is considered an asset;
Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are assets.
