**Tack Truck Operator**

**Key Information**:

- ** Must have 2 years experience operating a Tack Truck.**:

- ** Operate the tack truck to transport and distribute, asphalt, tack oil or other materials.**:

- ** Hours: Project dependent**:

- ** Must be willing to work evenings and weekends on various schedules.**:

- **Hourly rate is dependent on experience.**:

- Monitor and ensure the safe and accurate delivery of materials.
- Operate the tack truck to transport and distribute, asphalt, tack oil or other materials.
- Perform minor repairs and adjustments as needed.
- Ensure the truck is in good working condition through regular inspections and maintenance.
- Conduct pre and post-trip inspections of the truck and equipment.
- Ensure that safety procedures are observed.
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Follow company operational policies, procedures, and standards, as well as state and local driving rules and regulations.
- Assist with site preparation and clean-up.
- May be required to direct assigned work crew or direct traffic at the work site.
- May be required to load and unload equipment and materials.
- Transport crews and/or materials.
- May tow or operate specialized equipment.
- May work other shifts, weekends and holidays

**Experience and Certification Requirements**:

- A minimum of 2 years experience operating a tack truck is required.
- Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies.
- ** Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS 09 or 2020), WHMIS 2015, and ground disturbance 201 are required.**:

- Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol policy, including testing requirements.
- Valid class 5 or better driver's license with clean drivers abstract valid within 30 days of employment.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting and handling materials.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Must have strong communication skills.
- Must be willing to work overtime, when necessary.
- Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol policy, including testing requirements.
- Must comply with all company policies.
- A reliable means of transportation is required.
- Proficient English language skills required.

**Education**: Completion of high school or equivalent is required.
