Chief Financial Officer

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our global company. You will play a critical role in driving the company's financial strategy, managing financial operations, and providing insightful analysis to support decision-making at the executive level.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement the company's global financial strategy, in alignment with overall corporate objectives, to drive sustainable growth and profitability.
- Oversee all financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards for the company and all subsidiaries.
- Oversee the global treasury between all subsidiaries as well as oversee the finance departments of subsidiaries.
- Provide strategic financial analysis and guidance to the executive team, assessing risks and opportunities, and making recommendations to drive business performance and optimize resource allocation.
- Lead financial modeling, scenario planning, and investment analysis to support strategic initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, and capital allocation decisions.
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure the company's financial stability and optimize its financial resources.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including investors, financial institutions, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor and assess market trends, competitor activity, and industry dynamics to identify potential risks and opportunities for the company's financial performance.
- Oversee tax planning, compliance, and optimization strategies, ensuring adherence to relevant tax laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management to drive professional growth and achieve departmental goals.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; a Master's degree or CPA (from a CA, not a CMA or CGA) qualification is required.
- Proven experience (at least 10 years) as a CFO or in a senior finance leadership role ideally within a global tech company.
- Strong knowledge of finance, accounting principles, and financial regulations.
- Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute financial strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence key stakeholders.
- Experience in managing financial operations in a global context, including knowledge of international accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in financial planning and analysis, including financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Strong leadership and people management abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
- Ability to travel to international destinations to oversee subsidiaries finance functions as well as working in our offices regularly.
- Attendance in our Ottawa, Ontario offices as well as our Turks and Caicos Offices.
