Psychologist or Provisional Psychologist

Looking for employees or contractors willing to see children, adolescents, adults, couples. And/or families. We are also looking for team members trained in psychoeducational assessments.
Counselling Psychologists must be comfortable working with
- abuse and neglect
- bereavement
- depression and anxiety
- divorce and family separations
- learning difficulties
- psychological problems
- traumatic experiences and violence.
- domestic violence
- relationship difficulties
- sexual abuse
- traumas.
- anxiety
- depression
- post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
**Responsibilities**:
- accept clients through self-referral and referrals from other support professionals in organizations such as schools, Children's Services, and Employee Assistance Programs
- assess each client and their individual needs
- determine a course of therapeutic treatment
- provide therapeutic interventions in individual therapy sessions, and sometimes involving parents/caregiver.
- build up a relationship of trust with clients
- create a safe and stable environment in which clients can express themselves.
- review therapeutic interventions on a regular basis
- Be willing to work as part of a multidisciplinary team with other healthcare professionals, such as social workers, psychologists, occupational therapists, Speech and Language Pathologists, and medical practitioners
- attend meetings, maintain client records and produce reports on activities and progress in a timely manner.
Psychoeducational Assessment Clinicians
If you are trained in Assessments and you are a provisional, you must have a supervisor in place.
Job duties
- Interview clients, prepare client histories and assess problems
- Conduct assessment, specifically WISC-V, WAIS-IV, WIAT-III
- Priority will be given to individuals trained in ADOS-2 or planning to take part in ASOD-2 training soon.
- Write comprehensive reports with detailed and client specific recommendations.
- Liaise with community agencies, and identify additional or alternative services and provide referrals
**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 10 per week
**Salary**: $50.00-$114.00 per hour
