The Outreach Coordinator’s mandate will consist primarily of furthering TTC’s outreach goals. This will be done by maintaining existing, and forming new, relationships with community groups around Colchester County. In addition to outreach, this staff member will help out other staff with general tennis club activities on an as-needed basis.

Target groups for TTC’s 2025 outreach efforts include local schools, 2SLGBTQIA+ societies, minority communities, Special Olympics, and wheelchair-bound individuals. As a result of the Club’s continued effort to make the facilities more accessible, the Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for putting added emphasis on expanding the Club’s wheelchair tennis programming and participation.

A second area of focus for the Outreach Coordinator will be to work with TTC’s IDEA (Inclusivity, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility) committee to look for areas where the Club can be more welcoming for people from all walks of life, implementing as many of the identified priorities as reasonably possible. This will largely be project-based work, with the tasks being determined based on the committee’s assessment of need and recommendations.

Since most events related to this position will include on-court activities, the Outreach Coordinator will serve as a helping hand for those taking part, but with no expectation to lead activities. We have learned, from our experience with some groups (eg. Special Olympics, wheelchair tennis) that some events and/or participants require a higher ratio of volunteers to participants, so the Outreach Coordinator will help ensure everyone gets the support they need.

In addition to the responsibilities specific to this position, the Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for sharing the following duties:

- Court booking, management
- Making and answering phone calls
- Helping members and visitors
- Ensuring the Clubhouse and grounds are tidy at all times

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 8 weeks

Pay: $18.00 per hour

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
