**BASIC PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES**

The Product Manager uses their unique blend of business and technical savvy to drive the product planning activities through the product lifecycle. The Product Manager is the product owner responsible for the development and implementation of the strategic plan and is responsible for upstream marketing activities for the product. The Product Manager drives strategic alignment among the product stakeholders internally and externally and will work cross functional areas within the organization to achieve these goals. The Product Manager is involved through all stages of the product line’s lifecycle and collaborates closely with solution directors, product marketing managers, engineering, clinical research, services and sales.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Develop the strategic product plans from Strategic Market Opportunity Analysis and Strategic Competitive Positioning documents. This strategic plan includes pricing, positioning, placement/channel planning, distribution and execution.
- Develop and drive the product roadmap.
- Analyze, identify and report emerging market trends.
- Attend industry-related seminars and conferences and present information to cross functional teams.
- Maintain industry and product knowledge to be able to address competitive issues as it relates to the customer visits, marketing, product demonstration and sales process.
- Work closely with Marketing Managers to assist with creating and providing appropriate messaging to Canon Group Companies regarding marketing plans, product functionality and requirements.
- Provide guidance in the field of marketing and product management as well as acting as the product expert for the entire organization.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in software engineering or equivalent technical experience
- 7+ years of experience in healthcare informatics and advanced visualization technologies.
- 7+ years of Product Management and or Marketing experience and experience with sales/customer interfaces preferred.
- Healthcare IT background required
- Superior presentation and analytical skills
- Demonstrated skills in product positioning and strategic thinking handling a variety of assignments simultaneously.
