**Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia** is currently searching for a **Manager, Experience Assessment** to join our Registration team in Burnaby **WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING** - Providing leadership, interpretation, and guidance to prospective applicants, volunteers, registrants, staff, and others in the assessment of experience qualifications for registration as a professional engineer, professional geoscientist, professional licensee engineering and professional licensee geoscience - Providing senior staff support to registration volunteers including the competency assessors, interview panelists, and registration mentors, as well as assorted sub-committees - Supporting applicants, validators, assessors and staff in the use of the Pan-Canadian competency-based assessment (CBA) tool - Advising decision makers on the effective and efficient risk-based evaluation of applicants - Responsible for volunteer recruitment to various registration sub-committees and panels, including competency assessors and interview panelists. - Ensuring new volunteers are onboarded adequately; supporting the provision of on-going training for new and existing volunteers; supporting the delivery of training webinars and online training modules - Managing staff with accountability for hiring, training, and coaching; conducts all aspects of performance management including making recommendations for objectives, training, and development - Other duties as assigned by management. **WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE** The successful applicant will possess the following: - Bachelor's degree is required; education in engineering or geoscience is preferred - Training in or knowledge of administrative law is preferred - 5-7 years relevant experience - 5-7 years experience leading teams, managing department-wide projects, and having budget accountability - Excellent communication and organization skills; strong customer service orientation - Demonstrated ability to build relationships with key internal stakeholders - Strong project management skills - Experience with computerized database structures, data management, and process analysis - Experience in a professional regulatory body is an asset **WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU** Each member of our team enables us to deliver on our vision of "modern regulation for a resilient world".
