**POSITION OBJECTIVE**:
To schedule and perform preventive maintenance for production equipment and supporting systems and to provide assistance to the engineering department with automation projects and capital equipment installations.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance (PM) for production equipment and auxiliary systems according to manuals and accepted general practice in the industry.
- Perform corrective maintenance in mechanical and electronic systems.
- Assist the engineering department in the development of manufacturing automation and support equipment.
- Assist with the installation of processing equipment.
- Learn the fundamentals of blow molding to help diagnose and test molding equipment.
- Maintain good communication with peers, process technicians, quality and supply chain staff to resolve production issues and improve manufacturing efficiencies
- Support the implementation and compliance of the company policies, procedures and initiatives
- Perform other duties as needed

**QUALIFICATIONS TO ASSURE SUCCESS**:

- Mechanical, Electronic, Electrical Technician or equivalent experience.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in troubleshooting mechanical hydraulics, and pneumatic electronics, electrical, in a manufacturing environment.
- Must have hands-on practical experience working with mechanical hydraulics, pneumatics and electronics in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading mechanical, electrical and hydraulic schematics.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in the Plastics industry would be an asset.
- Ability to work with a minimum of supervision and as part of a team as required

**Salary**: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
