Bow River Brewing is a privately owned and operated Craft Brewery in SE Calgary. We made our first beer in late 2018, had our Grand Opening in February 2019, and now boast award winning beers for production and distribution throughout Alberta. We are looking for a full time brewery assistant in our state of the art 35 hL brewery.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Cellaring:

- Cleaning tanks and transfer lines (CIP) (our brew system has semi automated CIP)
- Cleaning and filling kegs & tanks
- Transferring beer between tanks.
- Housekeeping and deep cleaning

Brewing Assistance, Part-Time and/or Temporary
- Raw materials handling, milling, monitoring, packaging, general sanitation and brew house organization/cleanliness.
- Assisting with operating and cleaning of canning line
- Dutifully following best practice and safety requirements
- Attending brewery staff meetings as required
- Cleaning and sanitizing all equipment and work areas to maintain consistent beer quality
- Maintaining healthy communication with all team members
- Have a desire to learn new techniques, processes
- Have a mechanical aptitude and willingness to understand how things work, and how to fix them.

Other Job Requirements:

- 18 years of age or older and have, or be able to obtain, an Alberta Pro-Serve Certificate
- Valid SIN
- Be a self-starter and manage time efficiently
- Be able to work on your feet for long periods of time.
- Be able to lift 65kg (kegs) on a frequent basis.
- Possess or be able to obtain a forklift and skyjack license.
- Valid driver’s license
- Usual times are weekdays. However there may be rare occasion of weeknights/ weekends/ or holidays by arrangement.
- Alberta Pro-Serve certificate

Physical Requirements:

- Lift 55 lbs. from ground to shoulder high
- Lift 140 lbs. from ground to waist high
- Climb stairs, ramps and ladders
- Work safely with chemicals with appropriate safety accommodations

**Experience**:

- Brewery, Brewing and/or Warehouse
- Forklift: 1 year (preferred)
- High school or equivalent (required)

License:

- Driver's License (required)
- Proserv (required)

No criminal record

You must be a Calgary resident who is able to start work within two weeks of hiring approval
