**Reporting Relationships**

The Field Supervisor reports directly to the Project Manager. We are looking for **2 positions, 1 in Toronto, 1 in Ottawa**.

**Responsibilities**

The roles and responsibilities of the Field Supervisor are as follows:

- Ensure high standards of safe work practices while maintaining optimal efficiency.
- Identify, investigate, correct and document potential environmental and safety problems.
- Coordinate the site and project workforce needs with the site superintendents
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with Project Managers.
- Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
- Ensure the efficient use of labour, tools and materials used by the installation crew, sub contractors, and temporary workers.
- Take an active role in the training, and supervision of installation team, including monitoring performance, and providing feedback.
- Assist in the resolution of design issues, change requests, material defects and equipment problems.
- Establish effective onsite communications and progress reporting.
- Review and verify paperwork such as daily logs, inspection logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspection, hours of service, etc.
- Ensure compliance with the health and safety training and reporting requirements, load, unload, and identify materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications.
- Measure, mark, and record openings and distances to lay out areas where installation work will be performed.
- Read and interpret plans, instructions, blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications to determine work activities.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Knowledge and Skill Requirements**
- College diploma in appropriate construction related field
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Working at Heights certification
- 1-2 years' experience as a lead or Field Supervisor in construction related field
- A solid understanding of the construction trades
- Strong management, delegation, planning and leadership skills
- Knowledge of local, provincial and federal workplace safety compliance regulations, ordinances and legislation
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Possess a valid drivers license, and reliable vehicle
- High level of sound and independent judgment and reasoning
- Demonstrated ability to exercise necessary cost control measures
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Able to work well under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lb, Hazards associated with the trade, Work both indoors and outdoors
- Travel to the site, and off-site locations will be required
- Safety equipment will be provided
- Overtime, as required
- First Aid skills and/or certificates are considered an asset

**Salary**: $30.00 per hour
