**Airport Operations Specialist (AOS)**
- **Position Overview**:_
The AOS is responsible for the overall maintenance and servicing of all airfield facilities - grass mowing, snow removal, wildlife control, aircraft refueling, aviation fuel quality control, airport security, responding to emergency situations, and other duties as required.
- **Reporting Relationship**:_
Directly reports to the Airport Manager, and occasionally to the Airports Land Development Manager.
- **Duties and Responsibilities**:_
Under the direction of the Airport Manager, maintain and service airfield activities.
Conduct daily inspections of AVGAS and Jet A fuels.
Maintain, track, and record daily inventory of fuels.
Conduct Aircraft Movement Surface Condition Reports.
Conduct Wildlife Control Measurers.
Seasonal Grass mowing and snow removal services.
Conduct airside security patrols and maintain Airport Security Regulations.
Must comply with all airport policies and procedures including Occupational Health and Safety policies.
Other duties as required.
- **Abilities and Qualifications**:_
Mechanical aptitude and experience an asset.
B836-14 Basic understanding of Aviation Fuel Handling Certificate or ability to acquire.
Standard First Aid, WHMIS, and Transportation of Dangerous Goods certification or ability to acquire.
Be proficient in the use of of heavy equipment, pay loaders, forklift, fuel truck, backhoe and grader, and Skid-Steer.
Valid drivers license (Class D Preferable) with ability to obtain Z airbrake endorsement.
Able to lift 25 kgs (50 lbs) floor to waist.
- **Certificates and Licenses**:_
Minimum class G license.
Restricted Radio Operators Certificate or ability to acquire.
Standard First Aid Certificate or ability to acquire.
- **Working Conditions and Requirements**:_
Criminal record check
Annual Drivers License validity check.
Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends as required.
Must be available to be on call within one hour of being called in.
Safely operate all airport vehicles and equipment in al weather conditions.
Perform daily fuel quality control checks and refuel aircraft and helicopters.
Grass cutting and snow removal services.
Conduct airport wildlife control requirements.
Adhere and promote Safety Management Systems.
Adhere to Transport Canada Canadian Aviation Regulations.
Adhere to Airport Security Regulations.
Perform other duties as required.
Pay: $26.00-$31.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 80 per week
Additional pay:
- Overtime pay

Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
