**Our Team**:
The team in the Chief Administrator’s Office leads the strategic planning process, including the development of the corporate strategic plan, as well as development of and progress reporting on the Region’s annual business plans. We work collaboratively with Council, the CAO, senior leaders, internal and external stakeholders to create strategic vision, plans, and implementation frameworks that result in transformational change, unrivalled organizational performance and resident experience across the region.
**The Opportunity**:
As Corporate Performance & Strategic Initiatives Lead, you will support the Region to achieve its strategic vision through the development and implementation of proactive, consistent corporate performance frameworks, transparent reporting, and targeted transformation strategies. You will use your knowledge of visualization tools and methods to enhance understanding, awareness, and recognition of the organization’s strategic performance and progress toward meeting the Strategic Plan and associated Annual Business Plan. Using your collaboration and leadership skills you will manage projects and collaborate with staff across all departments to design, implement, and evaluate strategic projects, processes, and frameworks. You will have the opportunity to lead Corporate performance reporting, including change processes for improvements, to demonstrate the impact on the community of Regional operations, services, and initiatives to Regional Council and residents of Waterloo Region.
You will support the Region to achieve its strategic vision through the development and implementation of proactive, consistent corporate performance frameworks, transparent reporting, and targeted transformation strategies.
You will use your skills and experience to support the design and implementation of regular performance assessment and improvement strategies and processes that empower people across the organization to monitor, evaluate, and take action to achieve measurable change/impact, including the use of strategy execution software and other digital approaches (e.g., Power BI dashboards).
You will support the collection, interpretation, analysis, and presentation of data.
You will prepare reports for senior management, Council, and the CAO that include strategic and operational planning documents to support business performance and service optimization that could result in alternate service delivery, restructuring, changes in staffing levels, resource allocation, and related costing.
You will provide planning, implementation, and evaluation support across the organization to build skills and capacity in strategy, decision support, and innovation and performance improvement.
You will develop and provide implementation support using adult learning and organizational change principles in communication with staff and stakeholders. You will develop and implement communication strategies using multi-method approaches.
You will work in consultation with Council, the CAO, senior leaders, internal and external stakeholders to create strategic vision, plans, and implementation frameworks that result in transformational change, and unrivalled organizational performance and resident experience across Waterloo Region.
You will collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to build strong, effective strategic partnerships and to support collaboration for maximum community impact and delivery of joint initiatives. You will create new ways to collaborate with the community and partners to achieve strategic goals.
You will work collaboratively to ensure the success of the Region’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion plan in support of the Council’s vision for healthy, safe, and inclusive communities.
You will use your skills and experience to ensure reports, presentations, summaries, and related materials are designed with an equity-informed lens.
You will work collaboratively with other departments and divisions to promote better integration between corporate strategy, core organization systems, and decision-making processes.
You will work collaboratively with Finance and other departments in the development of the Region’s Annual Business Plan and budget.
