Reporting to: Manager of Human Resources & Payroll Pension Services
Description:
Provide support to the Human Resources Manager Administrative Services in the area of PASS/Clerical/ECE/Custodial/Continuing Education Services including the on-call casuals for the groups.
Co-ordinate the interview process; Assess and implement staffing requirements for the groups.
Ensure the accurate flow of wage and salary information to the payroll department
Recommend and implement training programs for Secretarial/Clerical employee groups with a responsibility for on-going professional development
Ensure the highest quality of service by maintaining working relationships throughout the Administration requiring knowledge of Collective Agreements, Terms and Conditions documents, Board policies/procedures.
First line contact for inquiries, problem solving, and employee relations for the employee groups.
Maintain all computer programs relating to the employee groups.
Qualifications:
Minimum Community College diploma specializing in Human Resource Management or equivalent combination of education and experience
Excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills
Ability to self-start and work with little supervision
Maturity in dealing with confidential information
Familiarity with pertinent legislation and agreements interpretation
Computer literacy an asset; proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Word, E-mail, Excel, PowerPoint and ACCESS would be advantageous.
