40 hours/week, Monday through Friday - Occasional overtime may be required

Hourly Rate $47.05 JP ($49.00 as of March 1st)

(Apprentice wage is determined by percentages of JP rate) (**5Y** 80%) (**4Y** 70%) (**3Y** 60%) (**2Y** 50%) (**1Y** 40%)

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Perform installation, replacement, repair and maintenance on electrical infrastructure as required
- Maintain and repair electrical distribution, including conduits, cables, wires, circuit breakers.
- Maintain accurate records of job scope and completed work (Using a Tablet)
- Operate a company vehicles and potentially aerial boom equipped trucks
- Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Respond to on-call duties when required
- Other duties as assigned

**Knowledge, skills and abilities**:

- Experienced Apprentice recognized under Skilled trades Ontario 309a Electrician - Construction and Maintenance or recognized equivalent
- Excellent organizational, planning skills, time management and prioritization skills with the ability to juggle demands and meet deadlines
- Excellent decision-making ability and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability as a team player
- Ability to complete tasks including heavy lifting required; bending, kneeling, standing for extended periods of time

**Assets**
- Previous experience in any of the following; slab work, EMT & conduit installation as well as service work
- Ability to operate equipment, and aerial trucks as well as comfortable with using technology
- Proficient in understanding and reading blueprints

- Ottawa, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- electrical: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver's License (preferred)
