Who we are:
At The Frying Irishman our mission is to bring traditional Irish fast-food to Vancouver, while also providing that true Irish takeaway experience. We are a fast-paced restaurant who is located in the heart of downtown on Granville Street.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage kitchen staff and coordinate food orders
- Supervise food preparation and cooking
- Order food supplies and kitchen equipment, as needed
- Establish kitchen staff work schedules and monitor staff performance
- Hire and train kitchen staff in specific stations, and cross-train as necessary
- Develop and participate in a positive working environment and maintain open communication between management and staff, and between FOH and kitchen staff
- Ensure all standards and policies are followed, including those related to food safety, food preparation, timing, cleanliness, health and safety
- Achieving financial targets related to the kitchen, including food and labour cost
- Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
- Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
- Regularly review product quality to ensure consistency
- Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
- Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it
- Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
- Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events
- Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. discounts and social media ads)
- Train new and current employees on proper customer service practice.

What you will need:

- Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager
- Minimum 2 years of current fast food restaurant kitchen experience including 1 year of team leadership experience.
- Ability to work quickly and calmly under pressure
- Completion of secondary school is required
- Outstanding proficiency in English both oral and written is required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
