**Shifts: Days - may require evenings and weekends**
**Rate of Pay: $16.948 - $18.359 per hour**

The Visitor Assistant is responsible for booking and facilitating Bethammi Nursing Home resident visits with loved ones during the COVID pandemic. This individual will transport residents and remind both residents and visitors of precautionary measures to encourage a safe and comfortable visit. This individual may also assist with video visits or other life enrichment activities within Bethammi Nursing Home.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education/Experience**:

- Grade 12 Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working with the elderly would be an asset

**Skills/Abilities**:

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to safely transport residents in wheelchairs
- Demonstrated regular attendance at work

**CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT**
This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
