**The Accounting Assistant will be reporting to the Controller**

**Job brief**

We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to perform daily accounting tasks that will support our financial team. This position deals mostly with Accounts Payable for multiple dealerships.

Accounting Assistant responsibilities will include but not limited to entering financial transactions into our internal databases and reconciling invoices

You will also run accounting software programs (PBS) to process business transactions, like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts, posting deals, cutting cheques and reconcile accounts in a timely manner,

A successful accounting assistant should be familiar with all accounting procedures and accounting concepts

**Requirements**:

- Proven accounting experience
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
- Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software PBS (Training will be provided)
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
- Data entry and word processing skills
- Well organized
- Associate’s degree or relevant certification
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
