**The Impact a Philanthropy Associate with the Leadership Giving Team can make**:
As an Associate Philanthropy Officer with the Leadership Giving Team, you will actively steward a portfolio of donors, continuing to engage them in the work of Covenant House Vancouver by providing updates and information on the impact that their gift has in the lives of youth who are experiencing homelessness.

**How you will contribute**:

- Proactively manage donor relationships and interact directly with donors to provide individualized gratitude, stewardship and updates through Belonging newsletters, impact reports, event invites and more.
- Alongside Manager, Leadership Giving, develop a stewardship plan for capital campaign donors and take the lead on content generation and project management for the plan.
- Provide administrative support to the Manager, Leadership Giving and the Leadership Giving team.
- Manage the Leadership Giving Annual Planner, ensuring all stewardship and reporting is delivered, and actions are updated in Raiser’s Edge.
- Process donations, ensuring gifts are coded properly, pledges are updated, and donations are accurately tracked.
- Take notes and record action items from Leadership Giving and CEO meetings.
- Liaise with Prospect Development team for research requests and prospecting.
- Answer the general donations phone line in a warm and helpful manner to assist donors with their requests and concerns.
- Support projects and working groups to contribute to the Philanthropy team’s overall goals.
- Assist with donor recognition opportunities and maintenance.
- Other duties as required.

**Who are we looking for?**

**Education and Experience**:

- College, University, or professional certificate degree is an asset
- 2+ years of experience with fundraising and/or related administrative experience
- Raiser’s Edge data software experience or other databases
- Passion for learning about Vancouver’s homelessness issues
- Experience working for a non-profit and/or in an office environment an asset
- Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
