**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**
We are seeking a highly motivated, team‐oriented individual to join our Housing and Homelessness team as a **Project Coordinator
- Housing Development**. Reporting to the Manager of Social Infrastructure Development, the primary objective of the Project Coordinator-Housing Development is to manage Métis housing and mixed-use development projects from conception through to completion. This role will also provide support to other MNBC housing and social infrastructure programs.
**KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
**General**:
Under the guidance of the Manager of Social Infrastructure Development and in collaboration with other Housing and Homelessness team members, the Project Coordinator - Housing Development will lead individual housing, mixed-use, and other development projects from conception through to completion, including:
- Project scoping and site selection: Work with teammates, senior staff, Chartered Communities, and other stakeholders to understand project needs and goals, success criteria, and siting criteria. Collaborate with real estate brokers and others in finding and securing appropriate locations.
- Site due diligence:
- Review policies, bylaws, and materials related to the site and prepare summary of development potential and recommendations.
- Contract for and review environmental site assessments, surveys, and other studies as needed.
- Contact local jurisdiction planning staff to discuss site opportunities and constraints and potential for rezoning and other accommodations.
- Make recommendations about potential project sites based on due diligence results.
- Site acquisition: Lead or participate in site acquisition process (purchase, lease, or other).
- Project planning: Lead or participate in project planning sessions and meetings. Travel to visit project sites and attend or lead project meetings and community engagement events. Prepare and maintain project proformas regularly to ensure budgets and reports are accurate.
- Contract administration:
- Review and track invoices against project budgets, compare actual costs with value earned. Recommend action when actual costs and value earned do not align.
- Manage the financial integrity and accountability of MNBC housing development projects, including monitoring expenditures within existing budgets and guidelines, reporting as required, and making budget recommendations.
- Coordinate and supervise the work of consultants, outside agencies, industry partners, contractors and others who may be involved in projects.
- Relationship management:
- Lead, coordinate and/or develop communications for stakeholder, community, and public consultation events (i.e., open houses, workshops)
- Represent MNBC at stakeholder, community, public, housing advocacy, and consultation group meetings as required.
- Policy and funding:
- Research policies to understand best practices and make recommendations for MNBC programs and policies.
**Overall**:
- Set and maintain quality levels through audits and evaluations, ensuring all goals and objectives are met and reported effectively and in a timely manner.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other MNBC staff, departments or ministries as required.
