This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the growing alternative fuels industry. We're looking for energetic and motivated team members to further improve our product offerings for H2 and CNG components. This role is focused on coordinating the prototype build activities, including management of the material, customer delivery schedules, documentation required to build products, shipping of prototype products and physical building of products when necessary.

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Parts management:_
- Inventory management for prototypes and sales orders
- Work with team to determine what parts are required for prototype builds
- Help with the ordering of such prototype parts when necessary
- Enter demand for prototype parts within ERP system
- Ensure appropriate quality checks completed before parts placed into inventory
- Place parts into inventory and track via manual or ERP methods
- Prototype builds:_
- Manage priorities/schedule for prototype builds
- Create CoC’s for items shipped
- Build and test prototypes
- Deburr parts as necessary
- Logistics:_
- Organize shipments, including preparation of shipping documents
- Communicate with customs and carriers as necessary
- Monitor spending with carriers, identify opportunities to reduce spending & improve rates
- Ensure stock of shipping supplies is adequate
- Ensure logistics process is followed (receiving of items, account coding etc.)
- Pack and drop off shipments when necessary
- Other:_
- ERP: Enter BOM’s, part #’s, routings, serial #’s etc. as necessary
- Other duties as required to support the team

**Health & Safety Responsibilities**:

- Promote Westport’s H&S culture following all Environmental, and H&S procedures and understanding your obligations and responsibilities
- Report unsafe conditions, behaviors and all accidents
- Co-operate with JHSC (Joint Health & Safety Committee) and Safety representative

**Position Requirements**:

- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to interface with others in a professional manner
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Excellent organizational skills
- Microsoft office and ERP system computer experience
- Working knowledge of quality standards such as IATF 16949 desirable
- Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:_

This position performs some sedentary office work and requires the ability to move throughout the building to interact with employees/contractors/vendors. The position answers telephone calls, bends, reaches, and pushes and pulls file drawers. This position uses a computer terminal to access, input and retrieve data. Finger dexterity may be required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator. This position is required to lift up to 25lbs and to use various hand tools.
