**OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW**:
Charlotte products is looking for a temporary Laboratory Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Technician. The QA/QC Technician position is responsible for ensuring quality standards and procedures are met for all products manufactured by Charlotte Products Ltd. Requiring a high level of attention to detail, the QA/QC Technician is responsible for strictly adhering to the organization’s quality assurance policies and identifying defects and or production error to prevent these materials from entering the supply chain. The QA/QC Technician is also responsible for assisting with research and development tasks/projects as assigned.

**Contract**: 12-18 months (potential to become Permanent position)

**Location**: Peterborough, Ontario (On-Site)

**Reports to**: Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Manager

**Job Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Perform quality control testing on all in-process and finished batches according to specification.
- Regulatory affairs, which includes preparation of SDS, certifications, TDG and WHMIS information
- Consult and evaluate with raw material suppliers.
- Evaluate raw materials to specification.
- Assist in product quality investigations and resolution.
- Assist with the research and development of new products as needed.
- Provide technical support to customers and sales staff.
- Conduct comparative product and costing analysis.
- Conduct efficacy and stability evaluations.
- Inspect production materials as assigned for defects
- Support continuous improvement of products to ensure safety to the user and the environment
- Create and maintain quality control documentation
- Other duties as assigned

**Education and Experience**:

- Post-secondary education in chemistry or biotechnology, or equivalent experience
- Chemical laboratory experience would be considered an asset
- Interpersonal skills required to deal with staff members and customers
- Attention to detail
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Highly motivated and self-directed capable of multi-tasking, and able to work with mínimal supervision.
