Project Controls Lead, Carbon Abatement

THE ROLE: HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE: - Oversee and lead the cost management, planning, and reporting activities with respect to program project controls with quality and consistency - Develop the project controls plan with the project team and review and approve contractors’ project controls plan - Champion the program project controls database and information by ensuring data is normalized and consistent for the purposes of benchmarking - Perform as-needed project controls deep-dives and/or audits as requested by project leadership - Provide supplemental schedules, estimates, and plans for items outside contractor scope and internal exercises that require analysis of options for decision-making - Manage the change management process - Arrange stakeholder reviews of project controls deliverables to support the project gate process and reporting - Support development of project economics - Present schedules and estimates to project and executive management - Prioritize a variety of complex tasks in an effective and timely manner to meet critical time deadlines WHAT YOU BRING: - Accredited degree in applicable field of study and 10+ years of experience in similar roles on medium (>$100 MM) to large (>$500 MM) capital projects - Minimum 2 years of experience as a Project Controls Lead - Experience with cost and schedule risk analysis - Ability to communicate schedule and costs effectively through multiple means to project team, management, contractors, vendors, and other internal / external stakeholders - High degree of commercial awareness, with strong technical analytical skills - Exceptional organization skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities, while ensuring on time delivery of project controls deliverables - Awareness of industry best practices for project controls with ability to drive continual improvement to adapt best practices into program - Knowledgeable of various contracting strategies (i.e., Lump Sum, Unit Rate, Time and Materials, Cost Reimbursable) and their implication to project controls - Development of work breakdown structures and experience casting estimates and schedules in internal systems - Expertise with a variety of project controls tools for scheduling, and cost control - Past site experience is an asset WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN OUR TEAM: - Flexible arrangement options including working from home and a compressed work week with Friday afternoons off (office-based roles) - Dress for your day - a casual yet professional environment - Ability to contribute to a dynamic organization with large growth ambitions - Competitive compensation and bonus programs - Top tier benefit package, including a generous Health Spending Account and Savings Plan - Making a positive difference in our communities through volunteerism, community support and providing opportunities to those in the areas where we operate - Annual employee-directed charity donation program - Support for training and professional development
