Immediately hiring a full time Pipelayer to join our crew Our projects are throughout the greater Vancouver area to the sea to sky corridor. Specifically we do residential and commercial excavation (civil & earthworks), demolition and site preparation projects.

As a Pipe Layer, you will provide assistance to the site superintendent on various construction sites around Vancouver.

**Responsibilities**
- Install pipe for storm, water, sanitary main, Hydro, Telus, and Shaw
- Grade trenches and culverts, positions pipe, seals joints
- Use instruments including lasers, grade rods and transit levels
- Other labour duties as assigned
- Being responsible for the efficient installation of all types and sizes of pipes
- Working with the Foreperson and other team members to ensure that pipe is aligned and installed in accordance with project specification
- Safely assembling and installing shoring cages
- Working around live utility systems
- Loading and unloading building materials and equipment as needed
- Cleaning and maintaining sites to eliminate possible hazards and keep worksites clean and orderly
- Attending and being an active participant in all mandatory safety meetings
- Following instructions and operating as a productive member of a high functioning team
- Working independently, as well as part of a team
- Being punctual and having excellent attendance
- The knowledge to Interpret drawings, MMCD and supplementary specifications,
- The ability to Install manholes, catch basins, lawn basins, and other pre-cast structures, the ability to install Hydro, Tel & Shaw duct,
- Coordinating with the Grademan, Equipment Operator, and Topman.

**What you'll bring**
- 2 years proven civil pipe layer experience for a privately held or family-owned general contracting business is preferred
- Complete understanding and compliance of safety procedures, especially around demolition, heavy machinery and working with the public
- Drivers license/transportation to and from worksite
- Proof of Certifications and/or tickets that apply: ie First Aid, Confined Spaces, Fall Protection, Construction Safety Training, Ground Disturbance,H2S Alive, etc. Not all required but more the better
- Excavators/skid steer experience an asset
- Must be legally eligible to work for any employer in Canada

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $38.08-$48.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
