**Job Title: Event Assistant**
**Job Location**: Hamilton, ON
**Job Type**: Full-time
**Reports to**: Event Manager
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Event Planning & Coordination**: Assist in planning and organizing events, including corporate meetings, conferences, weddings, or social gatherings.
- **Venue Management**: Help with venue selection, coordinating logistics, and ensuring that event spaces are prepared according to specifications.
- **Vendor Coordination**: Communicate with vendors, including catering, audiovisual teams, and decorators, to confirm details and timelines.
- **On-site Event Support**: Provide support during events by handling registration, managing schedules, overseeing event flow, and addressing any guest concerns.
- **Administrative Duties**: Prepare and maintain event-related documentation, including contracts, schedules, and inventory lists.
**Skills, Knowledge and Expertise**:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays as required.
