**Job Description**:
***:Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor, is responsible for all data entry, clerical and court support duties, and counter service, on a rotational basis, for matters received in relation to the Provincial Offences Act.

**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Performs customer service requirements, and cashier functions in relation to Provincial Offences matters Municipal, Provincial Land Tax Administration, and TBayTel accounts and services.
- Performs all Provincial Offences court administration and clerical support including receiving and sorting incoming mail, scheduling of court dates, data entry, attend in town and out of town court as the clerk of the court; process, transfer and accept appeals and transcription.
- Signs, processes and files all POA documentation in accordance with the established rules, regulations and guidelines.
- Prepares, maintains and manages POA court dockets.
- Performs bookkeeping functions in relation to the POA. Processes and balances receipts received over the counter and by mail.
- Provides back up for Payment Processing Clerk during peak periods and absences.
- Performs such other related duties as may be assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education/Experience**:

- Minimum grade 12 education; and
- Two years’ previous related court and/or legal experience

**Skills/Abilities**:

- Knowledge of the Provincial Offences Act and Regulations
- Must be courteous and tactful in dealing with sensitive legal issues with the public, police, legal profession and judiciary
- Must have proficient written/oral communication skills in English
- Must possess and maintain a valid Class “G” Ontario Drivers Licence, or equivalent
- Must meet the definition of a competent driver as defined by the Corporation
- Must be at an intermediate skill level in keyboarding, a basic skill level in word processing, and must possess basic on-line data entry skills

**Assets**:

- Experience in working with the ICON (Integrated Court Offences Network)
- Bilingualism

**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**:

- May be required to travel to various work locations and provide own transportation
- May be required to travel via air, to satellite court locations
- Must remain a competent driver as defined by the Corporation
- May be required to provide a successful driver’s record (uncertified)
- Must take an Oath of Secrecy
- Must undergo a successful Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC)
