Welcome to GoGiYa Sushi ‘n’ Poke Kanata. We are one of many locations under the GoGiYa family. Unlike our other location on Bank street, Sushi ‘n’ Poke Kanata focuses primarily on poke bowls and other Korean-inspired dishes. Our objective is to provide fast and healthy takeout lunches and dinners for those work time crunches and evening cravings. We use quality and healthy ingredients to make our signature poke and K-bowls.

Finally, we do our best to work with our team to set a flexible schedule and work-life balance.

That said, we are looking for reliable, hardworking, ambitious cooks/cashiers who can work in small teams; and adapt to the fast-paced environment of quality takeout food service.

As a dual Cook and Cashier, duties and responsibilities include:

- Food prep
- Taking orders from the ticket machine and preparing food according to customer preference
- Effectively use POS systems
- Handling of cash
- Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and order
- Monitoring and managing cooking tools and ingredients
- Cleaning and maintenance of the cooking and customer area

Preferred Qualifications:

- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent
- At Least one year of food service experience

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Full-time

**Salary**: $16.00-$18.00 per hour

**Benefits**:

Schedule:

- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Weekends only
