Inside Sales/ Technical Sales Representative

**KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
1.Make outbound phone calls to new leads, previous leads and existing customers. Focus is on turning these leads into sales opportunities by following-up on their past and current inquiries.
2.Receive inbound phone calls from new leads and existing customers and to convert those leads into sales opportunities
3.Answer phone calls in a timely manner; return calls promptly
4.Work closely with Regional Sales Managers (RSMs), distributor network and customers to provide customer support on all levels
5.Process quotes in a timely manner
6.Log and process sales through the order entry process
7.Respond promptly and process quickly all cancellations, credit memos change orders, manual invoices and customer complaints
8.Address customer complaints courteously & professionally
9.Coordinate with manufacturing and shipping departments to meet customer needs
10.Other duties as assigned
**EXPERTISE REQUIRED/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Four-year degree, preferred
- Truck van body construction knowledge, a plus
- Excellent computer skills, especially Word, Excel and Outlook
- AS400 or JD Edwards experience, a plus
- Excellent phone and communication skills
- Strong follow-up and follow-through skills
- Sales and customer service experience, a plus
- Ability to work overtime on a regular basis to meet customer demand

The Technical Sales Representative is expected to be familiar with these policies and ensure that they are implemented in all areas of control.
**SAFETY**:
Safety is paramount on any Morgan operation. The Technical Sales Representative is expected to be familiar with the company’s safety program and enforce the safety policy always. Never walk past an unsafe act.
**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**:
Working in an office environment in a seated position a minimum of eight hours per day is required. Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques required. May include lifting up to 25 pounds for files, computer printouts on occasion.
The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection. Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
