Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

Starting Wage: Wage will be based on experience and skill set.

ADS is an industry leader in automotive returnable steel containers. These containers are used to ship various car components all over North America to the leading automotive manufacturers. Our strong customer base consists of Honda, Toyota, General Motors, Fiat Chrysler and many of the tier one suppliers in Canada and the United States. Our facility is located in Stratford, Ontario. We are on the hunt for an individual who thrives in a fast pace environment and enjoys a collaborative working environment. This individual should be detail orientated ensuring correct procedures and policies are followed.
- Work independently and collaboratively in goal-oriented environment
- Liaison between multiple departments and suppliers to ensure quoting, purchasing, and delivery of material and components is co-ordinated for a successful delivery of product.
- Generate RFQ’s for projects by gathering all pricing related to material and components and formulating that pricing into a total rack cost.
- Responsible for creating and managing purchase orders, releasing appropriate quantities of materials for prototype and production needs
- Responsible for reviewing and creating bills of materials
- Approving invoices where required
- Assist with developing current suppliers into productive, efficient, quality driven, reliable resources
- Past purchasing/quoting experience (in a manufacturing setting is an asset)
- Proficient in Microsoft suite programs
- Strong computer knowledge
- Strong attention to detail
- Problem solving and problem identifying skills
- Ability to work both individually and in a team setting
- Ability to work with suppliers to ensure delivery and quality meet timing and requirements
- Ability to read engineering drawings is an asset
