**JOB DESCRIPTION**

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join our team as an overnight PSW providing personal care and support to clients. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional care while fostering a warm and respectful atmosphere for seniors. These shifts are awake overnight shifts from 9pm-9am in a part-time capacity.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Client Monitoring & Safety
- Conduct regular safety checks
- Assist with toileting and incontinence care
- Repositioning in bed to prevent pressure sores
- Support with nighttime hygiene routines
- Changing bedding or clothing if soiled
- Tidy up kitchen, bathroom, or living space
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces
- Remind and monitor scheduled medications
- Monitor for side effects or issues
- Offer comfort or reassurance to clients who wake up anxious or confused
- Engage in light conversation if the client is awake and needs interaction
- Record all care provided, incidents, and observations in care logs
- Report unusual behavior, falls, or health concerns to supervisors or family as directed
- Monitor for changes in health or behavior
- Assist clients who may wander or are at risk of falls
- Be alert for emergency situations and respond appropriately

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Personal Support Worker certificate
- 3 years' experience working with individuals living with Dementia and Alzheimer's disease is **required**:

- DementiAbility training and experience (formerly known as Montessori Methods for Dementia) is an asset
- Additional requirements before employment include up-to-date CPR and First Aid, a clean Vulnerable Sector Check and 3 year driver’s abstract, Food Handler’s certificate

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Being able to endure sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling
- Lift up to 50lbs

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
