About This RoleAll for mission-ready excellenceBy joining us, you will not only advance your career but also play a crucial role in CAE’s mission to enhance safety and readiness on a global scale.The role we are offering you:Determine classifications of Goods (e.g. tariff classifications, regulations and duty rates for import/export of goods.Ensure efficient flow of product through Dept.Negotiate freight rates with domestic and international carrier services.Interface with Customs for international shipments. Resolve transportation delays based on discussions with customs authorities.Supporting Export and Import Control Requirements.Either provides all shipping and receiving or leads this activity with assistance of shipping technicians in actual shipping and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipping.Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of shipment.Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications.Our ideal candidate has:2-5 years experience with Import and ExportSolid knowledge of transportation procedures and policies as well as international ocean/air transportation document requirements.Fully conversant with all applicable Custom laws, regulations, procedures and industry practices.Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft OfficeFamiliarity with ITAR Regulations, Controlled Goods, Customs and Transportation of Dangerous goods, considered an asset.CAE offers: Benefits: fully flexible for you to choose what is importantRetirement: Defined Benefits Retirement Plan & Group Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP)Financial Perks: Employee Stock Purchase Plan & numerous corporate discountsPersonal and Family Programs: Physical Wellness Plan & Supplementary Maternity PlanFun at work: social and community events all-year roundCome and share your passion with us #LI-KP2Position TypeRegularCAE thanks all applicants for their interest.
