ResponsibilitiesSets up animal rooms for studies (including supplies and equipment).Performs activities related to general animal husbandry: animal handling, feeding, and ensuring maintenance of a clean and healthy environment.Administering therapeutic agents through various routes. Collects biological samples (ex. blood).Participate in training to develop advanced animal related competencies.Collects biometric data on safety pharmacology studies.Records and reports changes in animal health through observed clinical signs.Uses, maintains and calibrates equipment.Keeps meticulous daily records and adheres to SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedure) and GLP’s.Reports immediately any unforeseen issues to the Team Leader and Veterinarian Services.Perform any other study related duties as required.  Requirements Bachelors degree in Veterinary medicine.At least 10 years experience as an Animal health Technician/Technologist , 5 years in a CRO setting5 years Experience in a laboratory or other scientific environment.Must be available to work full time: 37.5 hours/week.Able to work flexible timelines and additional hours including evenings and weekends.Must be able to push, pull, carry weight up-to/around 20kg (44 lbs).Must have good attention to detail, multitasking abilities, and high sense of responsibility.Bilingual French and English.ITR Laboratories Offers YouGroup benefit coverage (health insurance plan and group RRSP).Dental insuranceVisual insuranceLife insuranceAdditional health coverageRRSP with employer contributionStart date: ASAP
