We are currently looking for a Team Leader – Landscape Maintenance to lead daily service crews, deliver excellent results on-site, and grow into a long-term leadership role within our organization. Key responsibilities include: Leading and working alongside a crew performing commercial landscape maintenance services, including mowing, trimming, blowing, and general site careOperating and overseeing the use of landscape maintenance equipment, including 2-stroke trimmers, blowers, and ride-on mowersSafely driving company trucks and trailers between the shop and job sitesAssigning daily tasks, providing clear direction, and supporting crew performance on-siteEnsuring all customer service contracts are properly equipped, supplied, and completed on scheduleConducting daily circle checks on vehicles and trailers, and ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintainedFollowing all WorkSafeBC regulations and company safety protocols at all timesCompleting final site inspections to ensure quality and consistencyIdentifying site issues or additional service opportunities and reporting them to the Operations ManagerCommunicating clearly with the Operations Manager regarding schedules, timing, site conditions, and operational needs Winter Operations: Participating in snow and ice management services as requiredOperating winter equipment, which may include pickup or larger trucks with plows and spreaders, skid steers, and loadersUsing hand tools such as shovels, snow blowers, backpack blowers, and handling de-icing materials safely Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of commercial landscape maintenance experience (required)Previous experience leading or guiding a crew is strongly preferredValid driver's license, a clean driver's abstract & experience driving trucks with trailersComfortable operating landscape maintenance equipmentStrong plant identification skills (preferred)Horticulture education or certification is an asset, but not requiredPhysically fit and able to perform outdoor work in all weather conditionsAble to lift and carry up to 50 lbsAvailable for winter on-call snow and ice managementReliable, organized, and professional with strong communication skillsLegally entitled to work in Canada Benchmark Landscape Management is committed to creating an inclusive and respectful workplace.
