The Parking Enforcement provides operational support through upholding and enforcing the local parking ordinances while assisting customers with parking needs. Principal Job Duties: General patrolling of terminal area roadways and parking lots to manage idling or abandoned vehicles. Create citation & perform towing of vehicles from parking lots & terminal roadways and collect associated payments & release forms. Monitoring parking occupancies throughout the various parking zones. Maintenance Checks including light duty repairs such as attaching gate arms, restocking ticket and receipt rolls, & resetting hardware, Provide complimentary service for battery boosting tire inflation and vehicle locator help, and other services as may be added. Ensure the work is completed in accordance with all applicable regulatory requirements, Airport Authority procedures, standard operating procedures and job duties. Safeguard all Airport Authority issued inventory and equipment from misuse, abuse, theft etc. Ensure that the appropriate professional office attire is worn while on duty. Record and report all problems, complaints, incidents, events, and deficiencies and submit a written report to the Site Manager or Designatee as required. Skills: Ability to work independently and multi-task. Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices. Demonstrate a sense of urgency and timeliness. Must be open to feedback, differing opinions and other points of view. Ability to handle challenging and at times, emotionally charged situations. Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language. Must be able to make decisions independently and stay firm on decisions made (not easily persuaded). Requirements: Valid Driver’s License with at least two years of driving experience with necessary endorsements. Must maintain a clean abstract driving record, as you are required to drive vehicles. Must have experience in how to fully operate a tow truck. Detail-oriented and capable of accurately recording vehicle information using electronic devices or manual tickets, as well as reconciling financial operations and revenue at the end of each shift. Large vehicle handling experience is preferred. Experience with basic tools and small repairs is preferred. Strong customer service experience. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively. Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language. Demonstrate the ability to seek improvement. Excellent teambuilding and interpersonal skills. Physical Demands: Ability to physically push/pull/lift to 22.67 kg Ability to bend at the knees or squat frequently throughout a shift Willingness to work in inclement weather (rain, sleet, snow, heat, high wind, etc.) The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
