Assistant Server

Job DescriptionThis role is about more than running food or resetting tables, it’s about learning service from the ground up, contributing to a seamless guest experience, and gaining the skills to grow into a future server or bartender. As a Server Associate at Social, you’ll bring consistency, attentiveness, and a calm energy to every shift, supporting the team while keeping the venue running with efficiency and care. With a team-first mindset, you’ll anticipate needs, act with quiet confidence, and take pride in doing each task right the first time. Start Date: May/June 2026 Contract Type: Seasonal and Full-Time available Pay Rate: $15.50 per hourKey Responsibilities Support with Care Greet guests upon arrival and assist with seating during peak service times.

Deliver food and beverages quickly and accurately, ensuring presentation is correct and complete. Clear and reset tables promptly, maintaining a clean and polished dining room. Offer warm, helpful interactions when delivering items, answering guest questions about the menu, hotel amenities, or local attractions. Monitor your section and service areas proactively to support both teammates and guests.

Operational Excellence Run drinks from the bar with urgency and accuracy. Restock ice, glassware, garnishes, and bar supplies throughout the shift. Polish glassware and keep bar drop zones organized and clear. Keep service stations and back-of-house prep areas fully stocked, clean, and orderly.

Assist with closing tasks including stocking, polishing, and sanitation procedures. Team & Culture Communicate clearly and consistently with servers, bartenders, and supervisors. Take direction with enthusiasm and complete tasks thoroughly. Contribute to a respectful, focused team environment grounded in collaboration and reliability.

Alberta ProServe Certification (required or willingness to obtain). Previous hospitality or customer service experience is an asset A natural sense of teamwork and a desire to learn about food, beverage, and service.
