Job Title: Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist Location: Toronto,Ontario (ON) Duration: 12 Months Introduction Join our dynamic team in Ontario as a Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist. We are looking for an experienced professional who is passionate about ensuring the quality and functionality of web services and APIs. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the rollout of new API gateway platforms. Required Skills & Qualifications 5-10 years of expert experience in scripting, executing, and maintaining automated API/web service tests using tools such as ReadyAPI, SoapUI, and Postman. Hands-on testing experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server, Oracle, structured SQL-based query languages, and IBM API Connect platform. Expert QA testing experience (functional and non-functional) of SOAP-based and ReST-based transactional web services in an n-tier Java EE server environment. Preferred Skills & Qualifications Experience in schema validation, parameter passing, and Groovy scripting. Hands-on experience using Client ALM, JIRA, and other test/defect management tools. Strong communication and relationship management skills, including analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Plan, document, and execute both manual and automated API test cases for connectivity/regression testing specific to the rollout of the new API gateway platform. Fulfill the role of subject matter expert for issues and questions pertaining to configuration, access, and functionality of web services (APIs).
