Here, everyone can contribute to the strength of our learning environment – including you.  The Junior School French Teacher-On-Call position will be contacted as required to lead teaching and learning in the Junior School (Kindergarten - Grade 7). The Junior School is a vibrant, innovative school community focussed on personal excellence, whole child development, and overall wellness. Enjoy the experience of teaching in a dynamic kindergarten play-based program, in primary classrooms with a focus on emergent reading, writing and numeracy, in an inquiry-driven intermediate program supported with personal iPads, or in a distinct middle school curriculum determined by the unique development of preadolescent girls as they prepare for high school.  Opportunities: Teach in diverse classrooms from Grade 1 to Grade 7 Lead classes in specialist subjects that align with your skill set, with a focus on teaching French as needed.  Work in a dynamic and innovative environment focused on the whole girl  Collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals that embrace school values of courage, creativity, and citizenship Support student learning with small group and individual instruction  Employees of Crofton House School receive competitive compensation, including participation in Crofton House Pension Plan (RRSP), and generous support for professional, educational and leadership development Responsibilities: Teacher-on-call (Grade 1 to Grade 7) Teacher on call for the Grade 1-7 French program Leave detailed notes for teacher following each day Support with supervision of students during non-instructional time Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff as required  Provide personalized instruction and learning support for individual students as required Participate in co-curricular activities and clubs as required  Requirements/ Qualifications: B.C. Ministry of Education Certificate or Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Native-like fluency and strong command of the French language Experience teaching French as an additional language in an elementary setting is an asset Strong time-management and organizational skills Commitment to teaching whole child Collaborative, flexible, and enthusiastic
