Warehouse Associate

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Warehouse Associate to join our team in Nanaimo, Canada. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods, maintaining inventory accuracy, and providing exceptional customer service.Pick, pack, and ship customer orders with a high level of accuracyReceive, count, and verify incoming vendor materials and customer returnsLoad and unload trucks using forklifts and other material handling equipmentMaintain a clean and organized warehouse environmentCollaborate with team members to ensure efficient warehouse operationsIdentify and report any inventory discrepancies or damaged materialsAssist in servicing customers at the counter when neededFollow all health and safety regulations while performing job dutiesComplete necessary documentation for shipments, including those requiring special handlingParticipate in regular inventory counts and auditsContribute to continuous improvement initiatives in warehouse processesQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 1 year of warehouse experienceOutstanding attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environmentExcellent customer service and verbal communication skillsProficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment (training provided)Basic computer skills and ability to learn warehouse management softwareIntermediate math skills for inventory calculations and order processingPhysical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularlyFlexibility to work various shifts as neededStrong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectivelyBasic knowledge of safety procedures in a warehouse settingPreferred Qualifications:Experience with or knowledge of plumbing and building productsFamiliarity with M3, Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookPrevious experience in a customer-facing roleAdditional InformationSalary Range $45,000 - $50,000Why Join Our Team?EMCO Corporation is one of Canada’s largest integrated wholesale distributors of plumbing, HVAC, waterworks, and industrial products for the construction industry.
