Security Guard - Full Time - Oakville Trafalgar Memorial HospitalSite Description: Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital is part of Halton Healthcare’s network of three progressive community hospitals serving over 350,000 residents across Halton Hills, Milton, and Oakville.Position: Full-Time Security GuardSite: Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, 3001 Hospital Gate, Oakville, ON L6M 0L8Hours: Continental Rotating (0700-1900/ 1900-0700 hrs)Payrate: $19.63/hour - $22.09/hour "based on levelling system"Overtime Eligibility: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hoursPosting Date: Nov 19, 2025Internal Closing Date: Dec 04, 2025External Closing Date: Dec 04, 2025Key responsibilities:Conduct regular rounds of hospital premises, including parking areas, hallways, patient rooms, entrances, and exits, to ensure the safety and security of the site.Operate security cameras and alarm systems, ensuring any suspicious activity is reported immediately to the appropriate authorities.Monitor and control entry points to the hospital, ensuring that only authorized individuals are allowed access to restricted areas.Act quickly in emergency situations, such as medical emergencies, fire alarms, or security threats. Assist hospital staff as needed during crises and evacuations.Greeting and assisting visitors, patients, and hospital staff. Provide directions and ensure that guests adhere to hospital policies and procedures.De-escalate tense situations, resolve conflicts, and ensure that all interactions are handled calmly and professionally.Document daily activities, incidents, or accidents accurately.
