Oakville, Canada Barber Collins Security services Ltd. Full time

Barber Collins security is looking for a full time day Security Guard to work during the week at a client facility doing concierge work_._

**Shifts**

Monday to Thursday 8 am to 5 pm and Fridays from 8 am to 4 pm
- 44 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- Day position

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for any inbound/outbound mail reception/tracking.
- Greet any customers, clients, guests, etc. at the front entrance and provide access control as required.
- Conduct regular checks that occur weekly and monthly regarding the building security and equipment.
- Manage any building incident management and escalation.
- Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- Perform concierge type duties.
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.
- Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.
- Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
- Access control for the facility/area.
- Ensuring that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to site emergencies.
- Demonstrating judgement, common sense, and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.

**Skills**:

- Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position.
- Trained Security Guard with a diploma in a related field.
- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment.
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
- Surveillance skills and detail orientation.
- Integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to operate security equipment/systems, computers, radios, phones.
- Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
