This is your chance to join a fast-paced organization with a large, stable and continuously growing presence in the vertical market software industry As Controller, you will be a part of Harris International Group’s finance management team and will be looked upon to provide financial support and analysis that will have a direct impact on the success of the Business Unit you will support.The successful candidate will lead an existing team of finance professionals while overseeing the month, quarter and year-end close process. Additionally, the Controller will work closely with the senior management operations teams in the Business Unit they will support as their trusted business advisor.What will be your impact?Review complex revenue recognition for software contracts which are accounted for under IFRS 15, including regular review of WIP schedulesReview account reconciliations, analyze results, and prepare reporting to senior management on a monthly and quarterly basisAssist the business and operational leaders with monthly forecastingBecome a business partner by providing support and analysis to the business and operational leadersManage, coach and mentor a team of finance professionalsEnsure internal controls are in place and identify potential risks and controls to mitigate themIdentify, improve and standardize finance processesPrepare audit requests and respond to queries during reviews and the interim and year-end auditSpecial projects and ad hoc reports (ex: due diligence and integration of new acquisitions)What are we looking for?5+ years of work experience within a large accounting firm and/or experience in industryCPA Experience with complex revenue recognition (project accounting, software accounting)Experience with IFRSIntermediate to advanced skills with Excel, and good practical knowledge of Microsoft OfficeWhat we offerOpportunities to grow your career3 weeks' vacation when starting, 4 weeks after 3 years, and 5 weeks after 7 years of service5 personal days per yearLifestyle rewardsFlexible work options (office, remote, hybrid)Group insurance paid by the employer starting from your first day of employmentEmployee stock ownership and RRSP/401k programsLifestyle rewardsFun and collaborative work environment
