Langley, Canada Sage Haus Full time

Job Description: Title: Full Time Executive House Manager (with Meal Prep and Household Support) Location: Langley, BC Employment Type: Full-time, 40 hours/week Proposed Start Date: ASAP Compensation: $70,000-$75,000/yearly (based on experience), with potential rate increase and performance-based bonus after 90-day introductory period. Performance-based bonuses will be considered after the introductory period. Requirements: Maintain a smoke-free and fragrance-free environment, pass background check, have reliable transportation, and a clean driving record. Proposed Schedule: Monday-Friday, approx. 8am-4:30pm, occasional evening and weekend support. Description: We are a warm, active family of four living on 1.5 acres in Lansley, BC, with two young children (ages 5 and 1) and a small Pomsky pup (10–12 lbs). Our home is lively and full of movement — a place where play, learning, and daily life often blend together. Both parents are home throughout the day — dad runs a business from the property, and the family homeschools their children in a hands-on, active learning environment.  We're looking for a reliable, organized House Manager & Family Assistant who can help keep our household running smoothly — managing daily operations, assisting with meal prep, coordinating schedules, and providing occasional childcare. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic home environment and enjoys bringing structure, calm, and consistency to a family's busy days. Who You Are: You're the kind of person who naturally brings order, ease, and quiet confidence into a busy household. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, you don't just complete tasks — you anticipate needs, remove bottlenecks, and optimize systems so everything runs seamlessly behind the scenes. You take genuine pride in your work and care deeply about creating calm for the people you support. You have strong professional boundaries, excellent communication skills, and the maturity to read a room — knowing when to step in, when to step back, and how to keep things moving without needing constant direction. This role will work closely with a hands-on, detail-oriented family who values excellence and consistency. The right candidate will bring both empathy and efficiency — respecting their standards while earning trust through reliability, follow-through, and initiative. Over time, your partnership will help the family fully exhale — confident that things are handled exactly how they like them. If you're intuitive, self-aware, and grounded — someone who thrives on helping others operate at their best — you'll feel right at home here. Key Responsibilities: Household Management & Organization: Organization Systems: Maintain and optimize household organization systems, including closets, storage, pantry, and toys.Seasonal Swaps: Conduct seasonal clothing, bedding, and décor swaps.Household Maintenance: Ensure the house is clean. Assist with daily cleaning tasks when needed (vacuuming, wiping surfaces, loading/unloading the dishwasher).Inventory & Shopping: Track and restock pantry, fridge, toiletries, and household supplies (including repeat shopping for favorite brands).Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with service providers (cleaners, landscapers, contractors), ensuring necessary repairs, maintenance, and seasonal upkeep are addressed.Package Management: Prepare and coordinate drop-offs and pickups (including managing return labels, boxes, etc.). Administrative & Operational Support: Calendar & Reminders: Manage family calendars, providing reminders for appointments, events, and school activities. Proficiency with tech tools (like Skylight calendar) is a must.Travel Coordination: Help with travel planning and logistics, including trip packing/unpacking, coordinating with the concierge service, and managing pre-trip checklists.Event Planning: Assist with the organization of family events and hosting responsibilities, ensuring the home is ready for guests. Meal Preparation: Meal Planning & Prep: Collaborate with the family to plan and prep healthy meals and snacks for the family, following dietary preferences (nutritious, whole foods, and follow macro-counting).Grocery Shopping: Shop for groceries and meal prep ingredients, ensuring the kitchen is stocked for meal prep and day-to-day family meals.Kitchen Cleanliness: Ensure the kitchen is cleaned and organized after meal prep, maintaining an efficient workspace. Errands & Household Tasks: Errands: Run local errands (groceries, gift shopping, returns, dry-cleaning), and coordinate pick-up/delivery of household supplies.Travel Preparation: Assist with packing and unpacking for family trips, and prepare for any seasonal transitions (clothing or household items).Family Projects: Manage home organization projects (e.g., toy closet, storage maintenance) to keep the household efficient. Deep Cleaning & Maintenance: Deep Cleaning: Tackle occasional deep cleaning tasks, including cleaning the fridge, freezer, oven, and baseboards.Appliance Maintenance: Regularly clean and maintain appliances. Laundry & Ironing: Laundry Management: Wash, dry, fold, and organize the family's laundry (clothing, bedding, towels).Ironing & Steaming: Iron and steam clothes as needed, including preparing sheets and outfits for the upcoming week.Linen Management: Rotate bedding, refresh towels, and manage linen inventory. Pet Care: Daily Pet Care: Feed family dog 2x a day and walk 1x a day (10-12 lbs, Pomsky)Grooming & Vet Care: Schedule and coordinate grooming (every 30–45 days) and vet appointments.Pet Supply Management: Keep pet supplies stocked and organized. Vehicle Management: Car Care: Oversee maintenance for two family vehicles (oil changes, inspections, detailing).Organization: Ensure vehicles are fueled, cleaned, and stocked for family activities and school runs.Service Tracking: Maintain records for vehicle service, registration, and insurance. Vendor & Property Oversight: Service Coordination: Manage scheduling and coordination of service providers (cleaners, contractors, landscapers).Property Upkeep: Manage regular maintenance of the 1.5-acre property, ensuring the outdoor spaces are well-maintained and seasonal needs are consistently met. Family Support & Child Assistance: Backup Childcare: Provide light supervision for kids as needed, including assisting with school pick-ups/drop-offs or helping with kids' laundry.Activities: Prepare for and assist with kids' activities (e.g., practice 3x/week), including getting clothes and uniforms ready.Family Visits: Coordinate preparation for regular visits with the children's extended family members (packing, scheduling, organizing).Seasonal Event Planning: Research and plan seasonal family events, purchase tickets, and manage logistics for making family outings fun and organized.
