Position: Lead Process Engineer Location: Kingston, ON Industry: Food Manufacturing / Production Reporting: Production Manager   About the Role We are seeking a Lead Process Engineer to support and enhance production operations within a food manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day production processes and resolve issues to meet production plans and efficiency targets. Review daily reports, validate data accuracy, and address deviations with production teams. Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, R&D, Supply Chain, and other departments. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance OEE, reduce losses, and optimize labour and inventory. Support the Production Manager in setting KPIs, action plans, and performance targets. Review product specifications and recommend updates or improvements. Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs; deliver training to production staff. Ensure sanitation standards and food safety protocols (GMP, HACCP, traceability) are consistently met. Troubleshoot process issues and guide operators on corrective actions. Plan and evaluate production operations to improve efficiency and resource utilization. Qualifications Legally eligible to work in Canada; strong English communication skills. Post-secondary education in Engineering, Technology, Food Science, or related field. Minimum 5 years’ experience in food processing or manufacturing, with cross-functional team involvement. Strong knowledge of GMP, food safety, root cause analysis, and production planning. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Working Conditions Full-time, primarily weekday hours; flexibility required for occasional evenings or weekends. Office-based role with periodic work in production areas requiring compliance with food safety protocols. Ability to lift up to 10 lbs frequently and up to 25 lbs occasionally. CH123
