Intermediate DevOPS/Cloud Engineer

If so, this would be a great opportunity for youOur client is looking for an Intermediate DevOPS/Cloud Engineer for a 18 month contract in Toronto.This is a hybrid role.Advantages• Earn a competitive rate within the industry.• Location: From October 20, 2025, the candidate is required to work onsite 4 days a week and 1 day from homeFrom January 5, 2026, the candidate is required to work onsite 5 days a week fully.• Potential for extension.Responsibilities• This role will support the design and implementation of the SUS platform on cloud IaaS. • The DevOps/Cloud Engineer will be responsible for creating and updating service templates used for provisioning cloud resources and installing software required for running the business applications. • The DevOps/Cloud Engineer will also be responsible for setting up the DevSecOps pipeline for the build and deployment of applications across various runtime environments. • The role will also be responsible for setting up, configuring and maintaining common platform components such as logging, auditing, monitoring, alerting, vulnerability detection etc.QualificationsMust Have:• DevSecOps pipeline build and maintenance• Application runtime environment provisioning using automation tools• Cloud architecture and deployment model design.• Linux shell scripting• OpenShift administration, Azure PowerShell, and Azure CLI• Experience in building Terraform templates and Ansible playbooks is a must-have.• Experience with OCP (OpenShift Container Platform).Nice to have:• Related certifications.General Skills :Experience in one of the leading cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud, etc. Experience in maintaining complex Linux cloud environments, like CentOS, Ubuntu, or CoreOS, to support modern web technologies: LAMP, MEAN, Drupal and Elasticsearch Experience setting up development environments and mechanism using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Maven and Jenkins or similar tools Experience in scripting languages like Python, Bash, PHP, Java, JavaScript, Node, etc. Experience in build tools like Git, Ansible, Chef, Puppet etc. for continuous integration Knowledge of container-based virtualization technology like Docker Integration experience in building and using APIs Experience applying industry web, architectural and security standards and best practices. Experience in mobile device management for various versions of cellular and tablets.Skill Set Requirements· DevSecOps pipeline build and maintenance· Application runtime environment provisioning using automation tools· Cloud architecture and deployment model design.
