Our Deloitte Audit and Assurance is looking for talent to join our Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) delivery centre team. This unique area of our practice focuses exclusively on testing activities on behalf of some of Canada’s largest organizations in a range of industries. This provides a ground-floor view to understanding how businesses operate with integrity, through defined processes, control activities and governance, to ensure financial reporting and disclosures are fairly presented and is a fantastic foundation for more senior roles in finance, internal audit and business operations. Working in our Internal Audit team offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment, which presents you with the opportunity to continually grow and learn from a diverse team of collaborators. Your days will be filled with impact – professionally, socially, and personally. What you will do: You will be supporting client facing teams to document or evaluate controls. Working in concert with client engagement leads, you will be provided on the job learning and tasked with efficiently documenting processes, interviewing clients virtually, or performing testing based on established test plans. As your comfort level grows, you’ll be given the opportunity to think critically and write or recommend changes to test plans or control wording. Who you’ll meet: You will be assigned to a lead in the delivery centre, who will assign testing activities and be a first point of contact for any questions you have. You will additionally liaise with client engagement leads, who manage the ongoing relationship and overall program delivery for a particular set of clients. They are great resources to help you understand the client you are supporting, and they will perform some of the quality assessments on your documentation and testing. You may also be asked to interact directly with our clients – to request documentation or to participate in process and control interviews. How you’ll learn: We provide training as part of your onboarding into the delivery centre, to familiarize yourself with our systems and processes. You will also be provided access to resource libraries, additional training and a vast network of peer professionals to help guide you and transition into life at Deloitte. All new employees are provided a Buddy – a peer level resource that will help you integrate into Deloitte. You’ll also join a Hive – a group of Controls Assurance practitioners from all levels that serve as a support network to ask questions, explore new project opportunities, network and discuss career path. You will also be assigned a performance coach that will work with you to set personal development goals, track progress and regular and ongoing feedback from both the client engagement leads and your assigned testing leads.
