Job ResponsibilitiesThe Property Manager will perform functions ensure properties are maintained and operated in accordance with company objectives and facilitate solutions to problems between communities and internal support staff, guided by precedent and working within the limits of established policies.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPractice and adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service StandardsConduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conductProvide management and leadership to properties within assigned region and book of businessCollaborate with the Regional Director to develop goals and communicate established goalsEnsure goals of the company and its clients are consistently metManage the functions of a team in different properties while maintaining standards of excellence for processes, methods and personnelManage the process improvement and quality control of property management functions to maximize productivity and ensure quality service is deliveredProvide leadership and direction and assist in the investigation and resolution of any issues that ariseEstablish and maintain a positive relationship with Board of Directors, and internal departmentsConduct site inspections regularly. Identify deficiencies and provide recommendations and action plans in order to improve the propertyMaintain harmonious employee/employer relationsMaintain awareness of changes in rules, statutes or regulations and communicate changes to staffDirect training of staff when new procedures are required to comply with changesEducation & ExperienceHold a Limited License in good standing A developing Condominium Manager with a minimum of 3 years in the industryBachelor’s Degree in Business or related field from an accredited college or universityWorking knowledge and experience in financial accounting in commercial real estate, financial reporting, and budgeting is necessaryExperience in maintenance, construction, engineering and all facets of property operation and building management is an assetKnowledge, Skills & ProficienciesKnowledge of and the application of Condominium Act in community operationsExcellent organization, motivation, leadership, management, interpersonal and customer service skillsCritical thinking, complex problem solving, judgment and decision making abilityAbility to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, leases and/or regulationsKnowledge of mechanical operations of a building and equipment preferredStrong PC application skills with MS Word, Excel and OutlookMust be available for emergency on call and after hours service and evening meeting commitmentsTravelTravel to head office is required.CompensationCompensation for this role is between $70,000 to $85,000 DisclaimerThe above information on this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
