Position: Healthcare Security Guard - Full-Time - Belleville General Hospital Site: Belleville General Hospital - 265 Dundas St. E Hours: Continent Rotation (08:00-20:00 – 20:00-08:00) Overtime Method: Ontario Averaging Agreement (AA) After 88 Hours Pay Rate: $19.13/hourly Posting: January 30, 2026 Internal Closing: February 5, 2026 External Closing Date: February 27, 2026 Job Responsibilities: Maintain a professional, visible, and alert security presenceGreet, assist, and direct visitors courteouslyEnsure the safety and security of clients, staff, and propertyConduct proactive and reactive patrols (interior/exterior)Respond to emergencies and provide assistance as neededComplete detailed reports and investigations of incidentsMonitor patients and enforce hospital policies and by-lawsManage access control, keys, and perform safety inspectionsCollaborate effectively with team members and work independentlyPerform additional duties as assignedJob Requirements: Valid Security License for OntarioValid G Class driver’s licence and reliable vehicle requiredValid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)Proof of (minimum) double COVID-19 vaccinationA copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2)Minimum 6 months security experience Healthcare security experience an assetMust be able to commute to Kingston for pre-deployment trainingMust be able to site train at all four QHC facilities (Belleville, Trenton, Picton, Bancroft)Must be able to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit TestMust be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availabilityLegally Authorized to work in CanadaWhy Choose Paladin?
