Job DescriptionThe Strategic Human Resources Business Partner (SHRBP) supports an assigned portfolio and provides guidance and counsel to managers bringing a strategic perspective on all functional areas of Human Resources (HR) including engagement, staffing, talent and performance management, compliance, employee and labour relations, total rewards, health and safety, leadership coaching and development, etc. As the SHRBP, you work in collaboration with stakeholders to drive organization effectiveness, capacity and engagement.Accountabilities:Knowledge and understanding of the client portfolio in order to serve as an HR subject matter expert to client leadership teamCollaborate and partner with clinical and non-clinical directors/managers in developing and implementation of staffing strategiesPartner with and serve as a resource to employees, management to promote and maintain positive employee and labour relations to strengthen and optimize talent, in their performance and engagementProactively identify, facilitate, and advise on the equitable resolution of job-related complaints, grievances and concerns; balancing employee and Osler interests to mitigate and manage risks creating an environment that promotes engagement and inclusivityPrepare/present and represent position statements and evidence on behalf of OslerProvide support, guidance to assist in the facilitation of the responsibilities of the workplace parties as it related to the duty to accommodateProvide advice, guidance and consultation on best practices, employment law and keeping abreast of current trends /changes in legislation providing practical advice to clients based on the interpretation of policies and procedures and employment law (ESA, OHRC, OHSA, WSIA), and collective agreements, as applicableAdvise on progressive discipline process including appropriate communication, documentation and support at meetingsIn consultation with the director, conduct workplace investigationsQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field, CHRP an assetMinimum five years progressive experience with demonstrated knowledge and understanding in the management of all aspects of HR functions, including Ontario's workplace legislation (ESA, OHRC, OHSA, WSIA, LRA) in a multi union environmentComprehensive knowledge of human resource policies, practices and processes, particularly in the areas of employment law, and labour relations Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to build relationshipsDemonstrated ability to interact with all levels with comprehensive consultative, partnering, facilitating, and influencing/negotiating skills to energize and motivate managers and staff to deliver their bestHighly effective and persuasive personality, setting priorities with excellent organization skills to work effectively under pressure of high volume workForward-thinker who possess' solid leadership, strategic vision, good professional presence, and possess excellent communication skills: elicit accurate information, respond to inquiries; ability to prepare and deliver clear, concise documentationHighly motivated, self-starter, requiring little directionStrong analytical, ability to problem-solveConflict resolution, mediation or negotiation skills training preferredKnowledge of budget and financial processes preferred experience in health care environments is considered a strong assetMicrosoft Office (including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) and internetMust demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and CollaborationAdditional InformationHours: Currently days (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)Salary: Minimum: $101,517.00 Maximum: $126,886.50#LI-NP1#TFT #LI-HybridHybrid: Roles that function remotely, but require essential, regular onsite weekly work.Internal application deadline: January 27, 2026Osler values inclusivity and diversity in the workplace.
