Our Dartmouth, Nova Scotia office is currently seeking an enthusiastic experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our Commercial Department. The successful individual will be responsible to assist with expanding on Electrical and Communication services that we currently provide to existing clients while supporting the commercial operation with small- and large-scale projects; develop and strengthen customer relations, process service reports related to ongoing contracts and also organize and coordinate their own day-to-day activities on a variety of assigned service work. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Install, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial electrical systemsInstall, repair and troubleshoot data communication systems including, CAT cabling, Telephone BIX, Fiber Optic Networks, Fiber Optic terminations / splicingReading and interpreting drawings and contract specificationRequisition materials and supplies as requiredResolve work problems and recommend work measures to improve productivityEnsure safe working conditions are enforced and strictly adhered to in accordance with company policyProvide status reports on service work to direct reportPrepare all necessary paperwork, i.e. timesheets, service reports, etc. and ensure timely submission for billing purposesCOMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS Communicates EffectivelyCustomer FocusHolds Self and Others AccountableProblem Solving and InnovationEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Red Seal Electrician~ 5 years' experienceCommunications Cabling Specialist License~ 5 years' experienceStrong skills in negotiation and problem solving with the ability to motivate and lead by example.Business Development experience would be an assetExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent time management and organizational skillsProven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and the ability to meet deadlinesProven ability to work alone and with others.#LI-MN2
